The V&A Museum of Design Dundee’s impressive feat of engineering has inspired the latest jersey of the Dundee Stars – designed by a student from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee. The new 8,000m2 building whose design itself was inspired by the cliffs along Scotland’s north-eastern coastline, now features on the jersey of the city’s ice hockey club as they skate the breadth of the country. The 2017/18 Scottish Cup jersey was designed by fourth-year Fine Art student, Lucy Hendry. She said, “I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to design something as special as this. V&A Dundee was my main inspiration for the design as it is already attracting lots of buzz and adding to the already well established cultural life of Dundee. See more at: http://uod.ac.uk/2zM6LQU
